About Us

I've been in and around the car business since August 1960

You see,the car business is in my blood. Back in the 1930's my Uncle John, and my grandfather, Henry, both immigrants from the Tirol in northern Italy, started a successful 4 bay garage on Wood Street in little Atlas, PA, just a mile from Mount Carmel, PA.

It was called "J & H Garage" and the phone number was 339-1070

Just in front of this garage was a row of attached tiny 15 foot wide two story houses connected to the garage by an open courtyard made of hard concrete, where my brother Mark and I would skin our knees playing with our cast iron dump trucks and our Dalmatian, Maxie. Often, we would be carried up or snuck into the garage to play on the greasy floors, marvelling at the cars and machines to fix them.

Next to our house was my Aunt Mary's; attached to hers was Flick Ficca's beer store with those crazy roller ramps to handle the cases and the kegs. Just beyond that was Red and Midge Pizzoli's bar, just feet from the school and the school courtyard.

Two doors to the right, was, and still is, "Babe" Josephine and the late, great Ron Troutman's house. Ron and his family would work and play alongside my Dad and us for close to 40 years.

Uncle John specialized in electronics, rewinding starters and "armatures" with a lathe like machine (he was a kick-butt woodworker and bowler too!) Henry, as I remember, focused on carburators, and when my Dad, Bill became old enough, along with his brothers Ron and Hank, helped around the shop, with my dad eventually specializing in transmission rebuilding.

In 1976, my Dad took a huge chance and purchased Clauser Chevrolet from John, Ed and Albert Clauser at 1149 Chestnut Street, in our new home town of Kulpmont, PA,  just down the road from Atlas. It was a great move, and a dream come true for 16 year old new driver like myself, with a lot full of inexpensive, recently discarded muscle cars due to the oil embargo and high insurance prices.

Soon, Fracalossi Chevrolet outgrew its Kulpmont location, and Dad and Mom, Yvonne, purchased both the Mount Carmel and Shamokin franchises and about 1982, consolidated all three territories into the former Kane skating rink property just east of Shamokin, which was then Campbell Chevrolet.

I graduated from Penn State in 1983 with a business degree, joined the family business full time, started a family and re-planted my roots in the coal region of PA.

In 1989, we further expanded and purchased Becker VW in the Hummel's Wharf / Selinsgrove area.

We would run both dealerships until 1996 when we sold the Chevrolet dealership to the local Buick Olds Pontiac dealer, and leased the VW building to a regional Tire Seller and Service Center.

After a 5 year stint with two different National and World wide Banks, selling investments, insurance, personal and business loans and accounts, I returned to my first love, the car business.

I am proud to work for and with John Weyrauch, his wife Pam and son, Matt, and the rest of the great team, in the regions's fastest growing and most respected Chevrolet and Cadillac dealership.

We just recently earned our 4th consecutive Chevrolet Mark of Excellence Award for Customer Satisfaction and Sales Volume, and our 3rd Consecutive Cadillac Mark of Excellence Award.

These Awards place Chevrolet Cadillac of Bloomsburg in the top 7% of all GM dealerships IN THE COUNTRY. In fact, we are ranked 306 out of 4200 dealers.

Our reputation, pricing and trade values are so great, since October 2012, I personally have sold cars all over the Northeastern and Mid-Western United States, to places like:

  • Sheboygan, Wisconsin

  • Ft. Wayne, Indiana
